An ordinary vehicle equipped with a smartphone vehicle took a performance test on automatic road surface condition surveying device. The performance in terms of flatness measurement is certified.

The test, performed by Public Works Research Center, Japan, is intended for high-accuracy laser profilers. There had been no vehicle equipped only with a smartphone that passed the performance test. The successful certification indicates the exceptionally high accuracy of DRIMS. Note that this certificate is not for the algorithm in general, but for the specific vehicle with the specific device. The certificate is effective till October 2, 2018.
